Washington Post and CBSNews To Share Content

August 30, 2007

The deal between CBS News and The Washington Post seems a perfect organic fit. CBS News has the strongest — and longest-running — reputation among the US television networks. Similarly, The Washington Post, ever since Watergate, has had the best reputation among newspapers for covering the capitol. Fast-forward to the 2008 elections. From AP via Forbes:

“CBS News and The Washington Post have forged an alliance to share news resources for their online outlets – CBSNews.com and WashingtonPost.com – during the 2008 presidential campaign.

“The two companies are planning to announce the arrangement on Tuesday and begin sharing news video and stories about the presidential campaign on the same day.”
